This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the Ratel platform operated by EactiveNet, Inc. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service. We may update it at any time. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.
1. Prohibited content & activity
You may not use the Service to host, transmit, or facilitate:
- Anything unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights;
- Malware, ransomware, botnets, command-and-control infrastructure, or tooling primarily designed to harm;
- Child sexual abuse material, content that exploits minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery;
- Content promoting terrorism, violent extremism, or unlawful weapons;
- Unsolicited bulk or commercial email (“spam”), or content that violates anti-spam laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) — see Section 3.
2. Security & network abuse
You may not: probe, scan, or breach the security of any system without authorization; attempt to access another tenant’s workspace or data; circumvent resource ceilings, isolation, billing, or metering; launch denial-of-service attacks; mine cryptocurrency without our prior written consent; or run open relays, proxies, or anonymization services that facilitate abuse. You must promptly remediate vulnerabilities and compromised workloads.
3. Email & messaging
Outbound mail must comply with all applicable anti-spam laws and our relay partners’ policies. You must have verifiable consent to email recipients, honor opt-outs promptly, maintain accurate headers, and authenticate your domains (SPF/DKIM/DMARC). We may throttle, filter, or suspend sending that generates excessive complaints, bounces, or reputation risk.
4. Fair use of resources
The Service is multi-tenant. You may not consume resources in a way that degrades performance for others, evade per-tenant CPU/memory/network limits, or operate workloads designed to exhaust shared capacity. We enforce hard cgroup caps and OOM handling and may rate-limit or suspend workloads that threaten platform stability.
5. Reporting & enforcement
Report abuse to [email protected]. We may investigate suspected violations, remove or disable content, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve and disclose information to authorities as permitted by law, and take any action we deem appropriate. We are not obligated to monitor content but may do so. Our decisions under this AUP are made in our sole discretion.
