Privacy Policy

Effective date: 19 June 2026 · Last updated: 19 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EactiveNet, Inc. (“Ratel,” “we”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information in connection with the Ratel platform at getratel.com. It applies to our websites, dashboards, and APIs (the “Service”).

1. Controller & processor roles

For information about our customers and visitors (account, billing, and website data), EactiveNet, Inc. acts as a data controller. For Customer Content you process through the Service on behalf of your own end users, you are the controller and we act as a processor under our Data Processing Addendum.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, organization, and credentials.
  • Billing data: plan, transaction history, and limited payment metadata. Card details are handled by our processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage & telemetry: invocations, resource consumption (vCPU-hours, bandwidth), logs, IP address, device/browser information, and diagnostic data used to operate, secure, meter, and improve the Service.
  • Customer Content: the code, data, and configurations you deploy. We access it only as needed to provide and support the Service or as required by law.
  • Communications: support requests and correspondence.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to: provide, maintain, and secure the Service; authenticate users and prevent fraud and abuse; meter usage and process payments; provide support; send service, security, and transactional messages; comply with legal obligations; and improve and develop features. Our legal bases (where the GDPR applies) include performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation.

4. How we disclose information

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it to: sub-processors and infrastructure providers that help us run the Service (e.g., payment processing, transactional email relay, hosting); professional advisors; authorities where legally required; and to a successor in a merger or acquisition. Sub-processors are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations and are listed in our DPA.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to resolve disputes. Customer Content is deleted after a reasonable window following termination unless retention is required by law.

6. Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), hardened multi-tenant isolation (cgroups, dropped capabilities, per-tenant networks), least-privilege access, audit logging, and DKIM-signed mail relay. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and maintaining your own backups.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to object or withdraw consent. California residents (CCPA/CPRA) and residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To exercise rights, email [email protected]; we will verify your request and respond within the period required by law.

8. International transfers

We may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

11. Changes & contact

We may update this Policy and will revise the “last updated” date; material changes will be notified. Contact our privacy team at [email protected] or EactiveNet, Inc., Attn: Privacy.
